Did you actually build this concept out of carpet to see if it works? you’re not really saving any carpet from going into landfills by simply creating something on sketch up…
This chair has a nice and airy pancake stack quality; although, I could see the cut out seat section being mirrored and inserted between the layers beneath the void. It looks pretty comfortable too—- I can’t wait to try it out at Neocon!
It’s a nice design but in order for the everday person to be able to construct this it would be quite difficult. It’s just not that easy to cut carpet, especially in a shape like that.
