About This Project
We wanted to create a collection that would make a statement by re-liberating carpet tiles to produce fun/vibrant accent pieces for interior spaces.
To build the pendant: Cut (20) – 1.5” strips out of 18” x 18” carpet tile + Attach the 1.5” strip to (1) 10” metal ring (this is the bottom) and (1) 6” metal ring (this is the top) with 20 gauge wire + Reuse a simple lamp mechanism attached by wire with compact fluorescent lamp + Plug in.
To build the side table: Cut (12) – 1.5” strips out of 18” x 18” carpet tile + Attach strips to (3) 24” x 24” rolled carpet tiles using 20 gauge wire + Place reused 24” diameter glass top on base.
A really innovative lamp design. It’s subtle and simple, but would make a high impact on a space!
