The tulip recycling bin is based on the Japanese art of origami. The carpet-gami tulip folds a single carpet tile into a receptacle to collect recyclables. Gathering a bouquet of color coordinated carpet samples can help organize your recycling streams into paper, plastics, metals, etc. Customize your bouquet to suit your recycling needs.
Clean, simple, clever. A big improvement over the basic black & blue plastic recycling can. I like that you can customize the colors to your decor. Obviously bigger than a tulip if it is going to organize paper, plastic, & metal. I get it.
I have seen prototype and using a 24"x24" carpet tile sample, the bin measures approximately 11” diameter and stands 13.5” high at its tips, with an approximate capacity of 95 cubic inches. The designed bin is not only functional and recyclable itself, but offers a funky yet elegant alternative solution to our everyday needs.
Very Clever. Clean lines, simple and elegant. A smart solution to the everyday need for a recycling bin. The branding and simplicity drives this one home for me!
A very elegant, artistic and realistic use of the carpet tile.
what a sleek and innovative way to unclutter our material samples library. these tulips would definitely spice up any corporate office.
great job - when will they be available for common people? maybe you could post a “how to” on planet green or some other green freaks websites.
keep it up.
looking forward to have one at my corporationally boring desk.
Staples - bite the dust.

Make mine orange shag!
a recycle bin that blossoms all year long-what a beautiful creation!
Inventive, practical and very cool!
I just love it!
What a great way to use an entire carpet sample in a few easy folds!
Don’t get it! How does it stand on its own?
I can imagine the possibilities . . .There will be no carpet tiles hitting the landfills once you start outfitting corporate offices with these! Genius!
I don’t understand how you use this to recycle, are they bigger than real tulips?
